Benevento to Monte Sant' Angelo

This is a long wonderful rigorous walk, with lots of climbing, spectacular views and open spaces. The Agriturismo Le Bolle in Malvizza di Sopra may offer a place to spend the night part way through the stage, and the opportunity to spend two days walking it. 

Because this stage involves extensive walking along dirt paths and several stream crossings, this would be difficult in the rain or after heavy rains. In this case it may be preferable to take surface roads.

The people who live in the area of Celle San Vito speak a rare dialect of the Arpitan language called Faetar.  Now it is spoken by less than 1400 people.
