We stayed last night near the South Gate of old town. This morning we walked back down the Main Street to the bridge, then soon after there turned on the road following the tracks. This was a nice walk through Hajadaran. Near the spring (marked on map in guidebook) we stopped for coffee, and saw a chicken get its head chopped off. The road continues level to Suschice. There it begins to climb, at first a pleasant climb up a rough road. The tracks leave the road, and we followed them. This was a very rough steep climb up the hill on rough scrabble rocks. We would recommend staying on the road, even though it takes (as the book says) an enormous detour. Our climbing legs were worn out by the time we reached the top. There were several false summits, before we finally got up to the end of climbing. Then it was a very pleasant walk along a path which runs to the left side of the tops. Then a fairly steep descent down, across a very pretty bridge over a smaller river, then up to the main road at Mirake. The main road is busy, and we walked down it to the Hotel Ballkane (40 euros/room/night).
